There are many installations, in a lot of kit cars for example, where clearance below the centre line of the crank is limited but where a dry sump system would be an unjustified expense. For these installations we offer our cast aluminium shallow wet sump pan.

With an overall depth of 100mm our shallow sump pan offers an ideal option for Caterhams, Westfields, or any other installation where the clearance underneath the engine may be marginal.

As well as needing less depth than a standard sump pan the shallow sump is supplied with a baffle. This helps to reduce oil surge making the shallow sump a useful component for trackday or even competition engines.

Fitting the shallow sump is as simple as fitting a standard sump, using the same sump gasket.

Overall capacity of the shallow sumps is 4.5 litres, with a dry weight of approximately 5kg.
